Research

The PLANETAS group research is interdisciplinary – incorporating lab, field, remote sensing, and numerical studies, spans from the large scale (landscapes) to the small (individual sediment grains), and spans several planetary bodies. Our research falls within the following general categories (although not exclusively):

Characterizing modern & ancient sedimentary deposits and landforms to interpret surface processes, climate, and habitability
Developing methods/techniques to better characterize and interpret sedimentary deposits and landforms from remote datasets
Developing process-based models from field and experiments to help better interpret planetary surfaces
